Zapwater Communications had the pleasure of making an announcement last week that was truly one for the books.  Our client The Tie Bar has joined forces with Emmy Award® nominated actor, Jesse Tyler Ferguson and partner, Justin Mikita to release a limited edition collection of neckwear each season. Ferguson and Mikita’s charity Tie The Knot was founded to raise awareness and advocate on behalf of marriage equality in the United States through art, fashion and entertainment.  Their collection with The Tie Bar includes 20 ties in custom fabrics that were inspired by Ferguson and Mikita’s home and interior furnishings. The debut collection will be available exclusively online at The Tie Bar  this November.  Mark your calendars now!

The announcement quickly became an instant media bonanza running in a diverse and all-encompassing list of media outlets including, People Magazine, Instyle, OUT, The Chicago Business Journal, Perez Hilton, and USA Today to name a few.  As a publicist it’s a dream to see your client shine and receive the recognition they deserve.  As a gay man it’s an honor to work with a brand that is willing to take a stand in our fight for civil rights.
