A WEEK IN SYDNEY, AUSTRALIA WITH TLN AGENCY, ANNE WILD & ASSOCIATIONS

Working at Zapwater Communications offers employees the chance to travel and experience different parts of the world. As a founding member of the Travel Lifestyle Network (TLN), Zapwater provides unique opportunities for global collaboration and professional growth through immersive experiences with partner agencies around the world.

In early April 2025, Zapwater Communications sent Brooke Weber, Senior Publicist in the Chicago office, to Sydney, Australia for a week-long exchange with TLN partner agency Anne Wild & Associates (AWA). From March 31 to April 4, Brooke joined the AWA team to collaborate, learn, and immerse herself in a new professional environment, gaining first hand insight into the Australian media landscape, event strategy, and travel PR best practices.

AWA welcomed Brooke as an extension of their team, working side-by-side on active client campaigns and brainstorming new ideas for upcoming projects. With a strong interest in event planning and creative partnerships, Brooke contributed to planning efforts for the anticipated opening of Minor Hotels’ Queen’s Wharf Residences and supported fresh, travel trend strategies for Norwegian Cruise Line. The week was filled with rich exchanges of ideas, problem-solving, and team-wide collaboration.

The exchange program went beyond the office. Brooke joined team members of AWA on a one-day trip to explore the Hunter Valley, where they toured client properties such as Elysia Wellness Retreat & Oaks Cypress Lakes Resort. Exploring the properties' amenities and offerings, the group ideated future positioning and storytelling opportunities heading into 2026.

Anne Wild & Associates provided Brooke with unique experiences to explore the city from evening dinner and drinks outside the Sydney Opera House to a sunset boat cruise with Australian tourism professionals. Brooke had the chance to experience Australia’s culture while deepening industry connections and getting to know the team at AWA. Living and working in a different part of the world alongside experts in the same field, provides immeasurable personal and professional development. TLN’s employee exchange program, in collaboration with participating agencies, fosters a one-of-a-kind learning experience that provides global perspectives and inspires new and innovative ideas.
