CHICAGO (January 31, 2017) – Marriott Marquis Chicago has retained Zapwater Communications, Inc., to handle public relations and social media activities for the hotel’s opening, which is slated for Fall 2017.

Marriott Marquis Chicago will be the city’s newest premier hotel, soaring 40 stories over the city's lakefront and South Loop. Once completed, the property will boast 1,205 stylish guest rooms and more than 90,000 square feet of hi-tech meeting space. Directly connected to McCormick Place, Marriott Marquis' prime location will make it seamless for meeting attendees from across the globe to gather in one place, while celebrating why Chicago is a city like no other.

Zapwater’s scope of work will include media relations, strategic partnerships, targeted events and social media. Zapwater will also manage all opening public relations activities related to the hotel.

The Marriott Marquis Chicago joins Zapwater’s growing resort client roster of hotels and resorts that includes The Journeyman Hotel (Milwaukee), The Hotel Zachary (Chicago) and the Fairmont Mayakoba (Riviera Maya, Mexico).
