Summers can get pretty hectic. Between a busy work schedule, vacations and many pre-planned weekends, it can get difficult to find time to workout which is why I decided to sign up for my first half marathon.
Running has always been my exercise of choice but this is the first time I will push myself to compete in a long distance race. With the race on September 11th, I figure it will give me the motivation I need to complete 4 workouts a week through this busy season. I’ve downloaded a 10-week training guide and will look for tips from Chicago’s amazing workout facility, On Your Mark Coaching and Training. An added boost is that all of this training will help me get in shape for my wedding in November!
