Chicago (September, 2016) – Zapwater Communications, an award-winning public relations agency, welcomes Carrie Lannon in the new role of Chief Brand Officer.  The position expands the senior management team at the agency just as it expands its national and international client base.

Lannon was most recently the National Director of Public Relations for ULTA Beauty, from 2010 – 2013, where she developed its first public relations department.  During her tenure, the store and online retailer, with more than 900 locations, was named as one of the fastest-growing companies in the United States by Fortune and Forbes magazines.  Lannon directed strategy for publicity, social media and special events, quadrupling social media and media exposure for the public company. Lannon founded and directed Lannon Communications from 1996 to 2008.  The public relations agency was considered the go-to agency for luxury, lifestyle, fashion and real estate brands in Chicago. Its client roster included Tiffany & Co., Mercedes-Benz, W Hotels, The Gap, Equinox Fitness Clubs and Related Midwest.
