Jenn Lake Joins Chicago Boutique Agency

Bittersweet Memories Partners with Zapwater Communications
for Cause-Related Project
CHICAGO, IL (February 11, 2010) - Zapwater Communications, Inc., the Midwest's premier boutique public relations agency, announces a new partnership with A Blending of Bittersweet Memories, a soon-to-be published cookbook featuring recipes and stories of lost loved ones. A portion of the proceeds from the cookbooks will be donated to a breast cancer charity.
The author behind the cookbook and project is Chicago native, Emily Hoffman. Hoffman lost her mother, Renée Israel, to a hard-fought battle with breast cancer. Renée was a renowned cook and party host, who loved bringing people together through food and entertaining. Hoffman is currently seeking recipes and stories from people of all backgrounds to celebrate the lives, legacies, and treasured recipes of the past. She hopes that through this effort, those grieving from the loss of a loved one can find comfort through shared memories.

NEW YORK, NY (February 2, 2010) – The Hospitality Sales & Marketing Association International (HSMAI) recognized Zapwater Communications, Inc. with a Platinum Adrian Award for Public Relations excellence for its winning entry in the 53rd annual Adrian Awards Competition, the largest and most prestigious travel marketing competition globally.
HSMAI paid tribute to Zapwater for its work on behalf of Hotel Sax Chicago during the 20th annual HSMAI Adrian Awards Gala, a black-tie affair attended by top agency, hospitality, travel and tourism marketing executives, on Feb. 1, 2010 at the New York Marriott Marquis.

It enables professional women to lend a helping hand in their community by offering their education, support and social networking skills. Zapwater will handle all media relations and event logistics for an event to celebrate Illinois filmmaking at its best at the 2008 Sundance Film Festival. The event, hosted by Flashpoint, the Academy of Media Arts and Sciences, will recognize the Illinois Film Office and honor the festival premiere of “The Merry Gentleman,” directed by Michael Keaton and filmed entirely in Illinois. This private celebration with the Illinois film community, independent movie industry insiders and Hollywood movers-and-shakers will take place at the famed SKY360º by Delta lounge in the heart of Park City on Friday, January 18 from 7 to 9 pm.
The Flashpoint Academy party will also honor the Sundance premiere of the film “The Merry Gentleman,” one of this year’s Illinois submissions to the festival. The movie, directed by Michael Keaton and written by Ron Lazzeretti, is a romantic fable that features Keaton in a lead role.
